Happy Fall, Y’all! Here is a recipe for an incredible apple spice dump cake that is easy to make and SUPER tasty!
I love the colors and flavors of autumn. All those pumpkins, apples, and spices. I don’t like that fall means winter is coming, but it’s certainly my favorite season food-wise. Today I have an amazing new cake recipe for you using apples. I have to say that I really hit the lottery on this apple spice dump cake. As I went to take photos of the cake, I tasted a little bit of it. It took all the restraint I had to NOT eat it before the photos. It’s that good!
Enjoy more tastes of fall with these pumpkin spice muffins.
Apple Spice Dump Cake Recipe
Yesterday, I showed you how to create a spice cake mix out of a yellow cake mix. I wanted to use a spice cake mix in this recipe, but I could not find one in stores. The spices are the cornerstone of this recipe, so either buy one or make your own using the directions I provided yesterday.
Once you have your spice cake mix, this recipe goes together quickly. You just peel and dice the apple, mix it up with a few other ingredients, and then dump it all into your baking dish.
Serve it with vanilla bean ice cream, although it stands alone and is delicious without.
I so love dump cakes. I’ve created many over the years and will continue to come up with new varieties. They are fun and easy, and so delicious. I create them to take to potlucks and parties, and there are always people asking for the recipe. I love how adaptable they are. I’ve created several in the dutch oven while camping. We have some fall camping trips planned in October, so I will have to try this one out in the dutch oven! Are you a dump cake fan?
