Create a custom Nutcracker ballet bouquet to give to your favorite ballerina after her performance. The bouquet can be adapted to other performances.
My daughter performed in The Nutcracker over the weekend. She was very excited to be a soldier and dragon legs this year. Every time she has a performing arts performance I give her an artificial bouquet of flowers for her to remember her performance by. I usually get a bouquet to match the color of her costume. Since she had two roles and she loves nutcrackers, I decided to incorporate them into a Nutcracker Ballet Bouquet arrangement.
DIY Nutcracker Ballet Bouquet
Supplies
Artificial Flowers – I purchased a small Christmassy arrangement at a craft store.
Nutcrackers – I used 2 of different sizes.
Dowel
Floral Tape
Ribbon
Small Saw
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun & Sticks
The poinsettia arrangement was 60% off, which made it $4. The Nutcrackers, floral tape, and ribbon were from a dollar store. I had the dowel on hand, but it costs under a dollar. This forever flower arrangement was put together for under $10.
Directions
Saw off the base of the Nutcrackers. I removed mine just above the feet.
Figure out the placement of the Nutcrackers and cut your dowel to desired lengths. I decided to have one Nutcracker stick up higher than the other one.
Wrap floral tape around the dowel rod.
Hot glue each Nutcracker to the rod as shown.
Place the Nutcracker in the bouquet.
Attach the rods with hot glue and wrap with floral tape.
Glue ribbon around the stems of the arrangement.
Tie ribbon into a bow and attach to the arrangement.
I’m very pleased with how this turned out. Isn’t it cute? My daughter just loves it. She received a few bouquets of fresh flowers but this is her favorite.
It would be quite easy to adapt this bouquet to match whatever performing arts role your child has. Ornaments or other decor can be used in a bouquet. I love making creative keepsakes for my daughter!
Have you ever made a special keepsake like this?

This is such a great idea! It's not the typical fresh flower bouquet and definitely outside of the box and creative.
