Free 58mm/2.25in Button Maker Templates
I was preparing to make buttons with the kids recently, and I searched for button maker templates, hoping to find some cute designs. All I found were blank templates, so I created 58mm/2.25in designs.
There are three pages with eight designs each.
- Page 1: cat, dog, raccoon, monster, dino, hedgehog, elephant, octopus
- Page 2: cactus, rainbow, frog, mushroom, heart, teddy bear, sun, flower
- Page 3: burger, donut, smoothie, avocado, strawberry, lemonade, fries, pizza
All these designs fit in a 58mm/2.25-inch circle punch. Please note: the inner circle is the size of the punch. Use the outer circle as a cutting guide.
I recommend using colored pencils or Sharpies in your button design.
To make a button using a button-making machine, follow these general steps:
- Download and print the coloring template.
- Color the design, adding wording if desired. The circle’s edge wraps around the button, so keep a space for text or design.
- Cut out the design using a circle punch the same size as your button maker machine.
- Place the metal button shell in the bottom half of the button maker.
- Place the cut-out design on the button shell, facing up.
- Add a clear plastic cover on top of the design.
- Rotate the machine and pull down on the handle.
- Add the backing to the other circle of the machine and rotate.
- Press down on the handle of the button maker to crimp the edges of the button together.
- Remove the completed button from the button maker.
And that’s it! You can repeat these steps with the different designs to create as many buttons as you want.
These printables are a fun way to add personality to your buttons and are also perfect for creating gifts. Button-making is a fun thing to do at a party or playdate.
