I just returned from a weekend in Chicago attending a blog conference. Come see the fun I had!I just spent a weekend in Chicago attending SoFabU on the Road Blog Conference. I had a great time meeting new blogging friends, seeing ones I met last year and learning a lot of information about blogging. I gained a lot of knowledge and now I have a to-do list a mile long to help take my blog to the next level. I won’t bore you with the details of the blogging info, but rather share the fun things I did in Downtown Chicago.
My buddy, Courtney of Coco and Twins, arranged for a behind the scenes tour of Macy’s in downtown. It was really cool to explore this historic Marshall Field’s building. Our guide was Kevin of Wild Onion Walks was our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.
My new blogging buddy, Sarah of Sarah in the Suburbs, and I rode a water taxi around the river on Sunday. It was nice to sit and chat about blogging and to get to know each other. Thank you to Courtney for securing us free passes to the Chicago Water Taxi. After all my buddies had left to go home I had a few hours to kill before my train. I decided to rent a bicycle and ride along the Lake Michigan waterfront. I only rode an hour, but it made me very happy! The rental bike was comfortable and easy to ride. I highly recommend this activity! It was a great weekend. I walked up and down Michigan Avenue so many times. I ended up getting over 40,000 steps in the 50 hours that I was in town. Needless to say, I came home and went to bed early and slept like a log. My only regret of the weekend is not getting pics with all my blog buddies.
