Here are the top essential oils for camping and outside activities. We go camping every other weekend in the summer. All that time outdoors can wear me out. I like to use aromatherapy to deal with issues that come up. Here are my top three essential oils to take to the great outdoors.
Top Essential Oils for Camping
Tea Tree Oil – Tea Tree is a very versatile oil. Its fresh scent is purifying, refreshing and rejuvenating. I like to use oils topically. Essential oils are too concentrated to go directly on the skin, so I dilute them with a carrier oil.
Creating an Essential Oil Roller Bottle
cobalt or amber roller bottle
carrier oil, I like Nature’s Truth Sweet Almond Oil
Remove the lid and roller from the bottle.
Fill the bottle with the carrier oil.Place 5 drops of essential oil into the bottle. The bottles I use are 10ml. Use 5-7 drops of oil for every 10ml or 1/3oz of carrier oil.Carefully replace the roller ball on the bottle, making sure it’s properly in place.Label the roller bottle.Replace the lid on the bottle.
Portable Essential Oils
These small roller bottles are perfect to tuck into a pocket or purse and take with you wherever you go! As with anything you might place on your skin, please test it first. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, irritated skin, open cuts, and/or any mucous membranes.
Lavender Oil – I like lavender oil because it instills a sense of tranquility and calm. This is the oil I use most overall. Roller bottles of lavender have been placed in various spots around our house and in the car. I love to diffuse lavender at bedtime because the scent is soothing. I have a cute mini diffuser that I use in our camper.
Peppermint Oil – I love to use peppermint oil as a muscle rub. It is cooling and soothing. I love the smell too!
Nature’s Truth carries a complete line of essential oils and diffusers. Find them in the vitamin aisle. I pick up Nature’s Truth at Meijer.
