This Instant Pot Chicken is the easiest recipe you will ever make. It only requires two ingredients.
I will admit that I bought into the hype and purchased an Instant Pot. I only use it about twice a month, but I am very glad that I have it. The Instant Pot makes a quick dinner a snap.
Instant Pot Chicken
I have an Instant Pot recipe board on Pinterest. I like to find new recipes to pin to that board. You can check out all those recipes here.
If you are anything like me, you feel like you are cooking the same things repeatedly and your family is getting tired of it.
Sometimes I just do not have the energy to come up with something new, but that is what I love about this recipe. You can use any parts of the chicken and a sauce or dressing.
We used to cook with chicken breasts. I would get individually quick frozen chicken breasts because they were very easy to use. Sometimes I threw them into the slow cooker frozen, but most the time I defrosted them before I use them.
An Instant Pot can cook frozen chicken very quickly.
When you add meat to the instant pot, you need to have at least one cup of liquid. That can be any type of liquid.
Quick Chicken Recipe
I like to use prepared sauces and salad dressings along with the chicken in my Instant Pot.
Some of my family’s favorites are Marsala wine, General Tao’s sauce, and curry sauce.
One of our very favorites is a marinade that I found at Dollar Tree. It is called Mojo Marinade. It has a nice citrus taste to it.
For this recipe, all you need to do is put your chicken into the Instant Pot and add a bottle of your favorite sauce or dressing.
How long should I cook chicken in the Instant Pot?
When using fresh chicken breast, I set the Instant Pot for 8 minutes on manual.
Frozen chicken breasts need at least 12 minutes on manual.
Thighs take a little bit longer to cook, so I set them for 10 minutes and 15 minutes respectively.
I have not made this recipe with legs or wings. I am not even sure how bones turn out in the IP.
