S'more-Themed Free Embroidery Floss Printables

I have been in a crafty mood lately. I have been doing several projects with embroidery floss. There is a fantastic deal on embroidery floss, with 240 skeins of all colors that I purchased. I quickly realized that I needed to organize them.

Free Embroidery Floss Bobbins Printable

I have seen a few cute floss bobbin printables, but I am too cheap to buy them. Therefore, I decided to create my own.

Since I have offered s’mores bar party and camping party printables, I decided to with a s’more theme for the bobbins.

I will be volunteering as a campground host in Michigan over the summer and plan on doing friendship bracelets at craft time, so these bobbins will come in handy. As will the bracelet looms that are part of this post.

How to Use the Floss Bobbins

I created two versions of the s’more bobbins. One has lines marked for cutting slits and the other does not.

  1. Download the prints at the bottom of this post.
  2. Print in full color on card stock.
  3. Cut out each bobbin.
  4. Wrap floss around the bobbin.

Hole punch lines were not marked, but you can punch out a circle in the middle top of the bobbin. Keep bobbins together with a book ring.

  1. Download and print in color on card stock.
  2. Cut out an organizer.
  3. Punch holes in the sides to correspond with the colors needed for your project.

Feel free to write numbers or color names on the s’more.

Easy Friendship Bracelets

Have you seen a video that shows how to make a friendship bracelet using a cardboard circle? It is a loom that simplifies the bracelet-making process.

I cut circles out of a cereal box, cut eight slits, and then started to crank out bracelets. Several of these bracelet designs looked a little funky because I skipped some threads when I was distracted.

To reduce errors, I noted the order of notches as I wove. I figured out the pattern and added numbers.

How to Use a Friendship Bracelet Loom

These circular bracelet looms are for 7 strands of thread or yarn. They are great to use with younger children as they can count as they weave.

  1. Download and print the loom on thick paper, such as card stock.
  2. Cut out each circle.
  3. Snip the 8 marks around the circle.
  4. Poke the middle circle with a pencil.
  5. Cut 7 strands of floss. Approximately 15-25 inches each, depending on size of the wrist and how long of a tie you want.
  6. Knot the strands together a few inches from the end and string the knot through the middle hole.
  7. Put the strands in slots 1-7, leaving 0 open. They should be taut.
  8. Move strands in the following order, turning as you go: 1 to the 0 slot, 2 to the 1 slot, 3 to the 2 slot, 4 to 3, 5 to 4, 6 to 5, 7 to 6, 0 to 7.
  9. Repeat the process until the bracelet reaches the desired length.
  10. Tie off the bracelet.

Experiment with colors to create different designs. School color bracelets can be made with 3 strands of one color and 4 strands of the other.
