Here is a super easy & yummy recipe for a cream cheese pastry.
Easy Cream Cheese Breakfast Pastry
2 large refrigerated crescent rolls
2 blocks of cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 TBP vanilla
1/2 cup butter
Sugar
Grease a 9×13 casserole dish. Roll out 1 package of crescent rolls to cover the bottom of the dish. Soften cream cheese and mix in a cup of sugar and TBP of vanilla and spread it on top of the crescent dough. Roll out the other container on top of the cream cheese. Melt the butter and spread on top of the dough and then sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Super easy & yummy! Recipe can be varied with the addition of other flavorings, jams, or jellies.

A definite KEEPER! It's fast, easy AWESOME-NESS!!! I used less sugar in the cream cheese mixture and added some strawberry-guava jam to it...! It was a HUGE hit! Thanks for sharing!

These look wonderful. Crescent rolls are so good in anything, and the cream cheese sounds perfect.
