Our family loves sports. We hosted a football party for the playoffs and that’s when I came up with the idea for this football party snack mix.

This fun hands-on snack was such a hit that my children requested it for the upcoming Big Game party. Set up your own team snack mix station to help keep the little ones entertained. Decorate your party with these free football party decoration printables.

When I think of people’s favorite sporting party snacks, I think of cheesy crunchiness. I combined my kid’s favorite cheese crackers with popcorn, almonds, and candy to make this snack mix. Get more cheesy party goodness with Bacon Jalapeno Mac & Cheese Cups or this Bacon Ranch Cream Cheese Dip.

Football Snack Mix with Team Colors

I thought it would be fun to allow each kid to create a snack mix that features their favorite team color. We have an acrylic container with four compartments that is perfect for displaying different colors. I picked four popular team colors and put them in that container.

These go along with white popcorn, Goldfish crackers, and almond footballs to create the team mix. All these ingredients combine to make the perfect sweet and salty snack mix that kids of all ages love! It would be a great addition to a Football Snack Stadium or to be put in football snack bags.

Football Almonds

Almond footballs can be created using chocolate covered almonds and a small tube of white icing. Almonds resemble footballs, how cute is that? Take an almond and carefully apply little lines on top to resemble the stitching on a football.

My daughter enjoyed helping me create these. No two were alike, but they are adorable just the same. Lay out the almonds and icing for kids to create their own footballs.

Creating the snack mix is fun and easy for kids to do. Just take a few scoops of popcorn, a few scoops of cheesy fish crackers, and a few small scoops of desired color candy into a bowl. Mix it all up and place in individual containers.

Top with a few almond footballs. This mix is so fun and festive! My daughter’s favorite team is red and my son’s team is yellow. Grab your Favorite Football Team Cupcake Toppers for your celebration.

Football Snack Bag Mix

This custom kids snack mix is the perfect activity for children at any Game Day party. Provide candy that corresponds to the colors of the teams that are playing. Put the ingredients out on a football field table cover so that your young guests can have some animated fun! The kids can simulate their own game on the football field table.

Create a mini-challenge where each time a team scores the kids can move their snack mix down the field and takes a scoop of their team color. My kids did this and my daughter’s red team won the game challenge.

Use almonds without the stitching for a birthday party or other sports celebrations, such as a baseball party.
