S’more Banana Waffle Bowls

Here is a tasty campfire dessert that is derived from s’mores and banana boats. These S’more Banana Waffle Bowls easily be adapted to suit different tastes.

You have probably seen those s’more cones camping recipes. This is an adaption of that using waffle bowls. It is a gooey mixture of s’mores and banana boats.

S’more Banana Waffle Bowls

Collect the following ingredients for this tasty campfire dessert: waffle bowls, chocolate chips, marshmallows, bananas, and peanut butter. You will also need foil to wrap it all in.

Chocolate bars can be used instead of chocolate chips and peanut butter chips can be substituted for actual peanut butter.

How to Make a S’more Bowl

  • Cut off about a 10″ piece of foil.
  • Place a waffle bowl on top of the foil.
  • Place sliced bananas in the bowl.
  • Smear some peanut butter on top of the banana slices.
  • Sprinkle on chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
  • Wrap the bowl in foil and stick it on some coals in the fire.

This dessert is FABULOUS! The only thing I would change is to cook it just a little longer because I love it crispy! I think I cooked it about 6 minutes.

The cooking length will depend on how hot your fire is. It was really wet and rainy the day I made this, so it could have been cooked a little longer. Use your nose to determine when it is done!

It would be very easy to vary this recipe by adding in different fruit or toppings. The S’more Banana Boats can even be made in a waffle cone instead of a bowl. What would you put into yours?

S’more Banana Waffle Bowls

Here is a fun spin on classic s'mores, but it bowl form. Yum!

Cook Time 5 minutes
Additional Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • waffle cone bowls
  • bananas
  • peanut butter or peanut butter chips
  • chocolate chips or bars
  • mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Cut off about a 10" piece of foil.
  2. Place a waffle bowl on top of the foil.
  3. Slice half of the banana and place it in the waffle bowl.
  4. Smear some peanut butter on top of the banana slices.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips and mini marshmallows into the bowl.
  6. Wrap the bowl in foil put it near the fire, surrounding it with coals. Do not place it straight onto the coals or it will burn.
  7. Cook for 3-8, depending on the heat of the fire. Rotate frequently so there are no burn spots.
  8. When you start to smell the toasted waffle bowl, it's usually done.
